some rest at Tuileries garden

for not being desperate :-)

Champagne

At gare to be sure that is the right place

At Cafe du Palais  to be really sure :-)

After all I am in Reims :-)

I changed sunny Marseille by cloudy Paris

Was it a good choice ?

Sorbonne

Musée National du Moyen age

Starry, starry night

Van Gogh arrived in Arles in 1888

where Les Arenes was there long time before

La Marseillaise

Which is the france national song and can be heard if you  are outside a prison :-)

By going to Basilique Notre Dame de la Garde

to get an overview of Marseille

including Chateau D'If

and Stade Velodrome

Vieux Port with Cathédrale de la Major at back

Fort St. Jean

All those just before a stop at the beach :-)

Marseille

With a port

and fish market

and doves flying around

a boat named after Dumas' character

But there are more than sea

Aix-en-Provence

With tree-shaded-boulevards

in a sunny day

even for a dog

Bas Languedoc

Or Lower Languedoc which comprises cities like Carcassonne with La Cité where it is the auberge where I should stay last night but somes plans  come to naught :-( with the strike on the day before :-)

The  old city entrance is from Porte Narbonnaise

At the opposite side is Château Comtal

from where Basilique Saint Nazaire can be seen

but in a rainy day it's all I've got :-)

Another city is Montpellier with place de la Comédie

and colorful trams crossing the streets :-)

Without reading anything in france language I didn't know that today was a strike day :-(

So after arriving in Marseille I couldn't go anywhere so just wait while drinking a wine without a glass because even the dishwasher was on strike

In order to avoid be drunk I went to port to think for a while

an decide what to do????????

Italy or France ?

After listening and reading italian language I was in doubt about where I am

So I went up to get an overview

and be rewarded with bird singing

and to be aware just at the end that there is an elevator :-(

Anyway my cardiologist thanks for the up and down journey.

But in order to solve the doubt how about a vin avec fromage ? :-)
