Higashiyama

The correct destination was reached :-) and I started by Nanzen-in

A short walk is Eikan-dô but I saw lots of photography forbidden signs and afraid of increasing mistakes list that I took only outside pictures :-)

Also close to them is Tetsugaku-no-Michi or path of philosophy that can be done in about 30 minutes in which I haven't got any good idea but lots of bad ones :-)

After walking almost all day long I took a bus to rest at hotel but the traffic was/is heavy so when I heard that there is a connection with subway on the next stop, I got off fortunately close to Gion

and I assure the picture above was taken before the Asahi :-)

and it can be proved by the light reflected on the table

Mistakes

With  another guide's help, but she's so cold :-(, I started making a mistake and reached Nishiki market then as I was there I walked around to take a look

As a matter of fact I wasn't sure if all are food so for safety reason my choice was sushi :-)

and on the way I saw some gloves and decided to buy one pair so the next time I shake my friend'
s hand she won't think I'm a cold guy :-)

But by using my best nihongo I found out that they are to be used on feet :-( one more mistake on the endless list

How can I go on....

.... without a personal tourist guide at Kyoto ?  this  question was made to me before in portuguese and any translation mistake is my guilty :-)

I started the journey :-) by taking a sightseeing bus (who has no dog...  hunting with cat, it is a brazilian popular saying) but the guide wasn't a sightspeaking and all I heard was japanese... I miss my personal tourist guide :-(

Anyway I could visit Kinkaku-ji or golden pavilion

and also Kiyomizu-dera

Kyo-wa su-ko-shi mu-zu-ka-shi ka-ta or today was a little difficult in japanese, of course :-)

Get Tired !!! or Kansai !!!

It's another terrible phonetic translation in my native language for this region (Kansai) :-)

The base point choosen is Kyoto and close to the train station

And if weather helps a view from the Kyoto tower in any sooner day. For a while some rest is necessary :-)

Kanpai

As I wrote before not so lost in translation because kanpai means cheers in japanese and not banzai as this fool japanese's son imagined before :-)

Anyway, tonight I celebrated my first last night in Tokyo by drinking sake with my personal tourist guide in Tokyo.

Kanpai !!! :-)

Yamanote line

Take it easy because I'll not write about my family's life :-) because I didn't write the title wrong, surely :-)

Yamanote line does a loop around the metropolis and I stopped at Shibuya where there is a statue in honor to Hachikô but it's not easy to take a picture without anyone around :-)

While drinking a coffe I took a picture of Shibuya crossing

Then I went to Ueno to take a lunch based on tofu at Sasa-no-Yuki
Look at my foot without shoe at bottom :-)
Finally something funny happened after asking to a woman: where is Sasa-no-yuki ?
She pointed a house and said It's there it's written !!!!

So clear !!! :-)

Sakura (桜)

Or cherry-blossom therefore not so lost in translation if you don't ask anything to God :-)
Back to sakura its peak happens from end of March and beginning of April but it's better for me and you stop writing and let them explain by themselves :-)

Lost in translation

It's not a remake of the movie because  Scarlett isn't nearby... unfortunately :-( but some movie's scenes were taken at Shinjuku therefore it explains the post's title :-)

But after going to Tsukiji Fish Market....

....and taking a japanese breakfast

How could I get it ? It was a piece of cake with a help from my personal tourist guide because nobody does it better :-)

Nihon

After completing half century, I guess it´s time to know the place where my ancestors came from because I'm not sure that there will be another half one. Maybe I missed the starting gun  :-)

The starting and ending point is Tokyo but I read that one of the main rules of Japanese accommodation is don't surprise them. So the route is designed but not traced ....yet:-)

source: http://www.lonelyplanet.com/maps/asia/japan/

And the next post will  delay due to the long journey. So patience will be necessary including for me  :-)

By the way, Nihon is one of the ways that japaneses call their country name
